THE 4TH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON EMBODIED INTELLIGENCE

TO BE HELD ONLINE ON MARCH 20-22, 2024

This FREE event brings together a wide range of speakers to discuss the many challenges and opportunities in Embodied Intelligence research! The workshop is structured with a morning session and afternoon session each day to accommodate different time zones. Each session includes plenary talks, panel discussions (including flash talks by leading researchers), and breakout sessions as shown in the tentative programme here. While plenary and panel speakers are invitation-only, we solicit wider contributions in breakout sessions to facilitate more focused and technical discussions.

WOSC 19th Congress 2024

September 11-13, 2024 in Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford, UK

Shaping collaborative ecosystems for tomorrow

The complexity of interactions and relationships in our world have consistently surpassed our ability to fully comprehend and govern. The presence of intelligent tools, both in the digital and physical realms, is progressively enhancing our capacities to act on personal, organizational, national, and international levels, leading to both intended and unintended consequences. Collectively, these changes are reshaping our primary habitat—the planet Earth—at a speed and scale that necessitate earnest consideration. In the midst of uncertainty, the development and utilization of these new capabilities would greatly benefit from CyberSystemic approaches and methods of learning. This advancement is crucial for fostering a sustainable understanding and taking actions to avert major threats to our civilization.

Complex Systems Summer School | Santa Fe Institute

Complex Systems Summer School (CSSS) offers an intensive four-week introduction to complex behavior in mathematical, physical, living, and social systems. CSSS brings together graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and professionals to transcend disciplinary boundaries, take intellectual risks, and ask big questions about complex systems. The residential program comprises a series of lectures and workshops devoted to theory and tools, applications-focused seminars, and discussions with faculty and fellow participants. CSSS participants put what they learn from these didactic sessions into practice through group research projects, conducted throughout the program and often extending into manuscripts and longer-term collaborations. CSSS provides an unparalleled opportunity for early-career researchers to expand their professional networks, produce a novel research product, and gain valuable experience working in transdisciplinary teams.

Mediterranean School of Complex Networks.  Grado, Italy 30 June – 5 July 2024

In the last decade, network theory has been revealed to be a perfect instrument to model the structure of complex systems and the dynamical process they are involved into. The wide variety of applications to social sciences, technological networks, biology, transportation and economic, to cite just only some of them, showed that network theory is suitable to provide new insights into many problems.
Given the success of the Eighth Edition in 2023 of the Mediterranean School of Complex Networks, we call for applications to the Ninth Edition in 2024.

French Regional Conference on Complex Systems FRCCS 2024. May 29-31, Montpellier, France

FRCCS 2024 is the 4th edition of the French Regional Conference on Complex Systems. It aims at bringing together the French scientific community working in complex systems. It intends to federate the French community.
We encourage researchers from various disciplines supporting interdisciplinary exchanges to respond to this call (archaeology, biology, computer science, economics, geography, history, linguistics, management, mathematics, medicine, physics, statistics, sociology, …). FRCCS 2024 is an opportunity to promote the cross-fertilization of ideas by presenting recent research work, industrial developments, and original applications. Special attention is given to research topics with a high societal impact from the perspective of complexity science from the complexity science perspective.
